In the 3rd Dimension of The Lost Socks, the character Thales was a being comprised of 5 socks wanting to live as one. They were able to cling together because of static electricity.
I named Thales after Thales of Miletus. He was a Greek philosopher, around 600 BCE, who first documented the phenomenon of static electricity. He observed static electricity when he noticed that rubbing amber with fur attracted light objects, such as feathers.

In The Sea Dragon Rescue, Pipia’s favorite food is candy floss, which we call cotton candy today.
Did you know that a dentist invented cotton candy? Yes, a dentist. In 1897 Dentist William Morrison, alongside his friend John C. Wharton, a professional confectioner, invented the first electric candy-spinning machine. Back then, they named their creation “Fairy Floss”.
The character Jay Wharton, the candy factory owner, was named to honor John C. Wharton, the confectioner.
