In the 3rd Dimension of The Lost Socks, the character Thales was a being comprised of 5 socks wanting to live as one. They were able to cling together because of static electricity.
I named Thales after Thales of Miletus. He was a Greek philosopher, around 600 BCE, who first documented the phenomenon of static electricity. He observed static electricity when he noticed that rubbing amber with fur attracted light objects, such as feathers.
